Standard 8 Human resource management

Managers and team leaders need to be able to identify staff skills required and any skill gaps, provide opportunities for skills development and can document skills gained. These tools provide a process for identifying required and existing skills and competencies for individual positions and for the team as a whole. A planning process is provided for services to obtain critical skills and competencies needed, and ideas proposed for developing staff knowledge, skills and competencies.
