Excellence in ending homelessness - diverse groups
This award recognises programs, partnerships, organisations and individuals that have made an outstanding contribution to ending homelessness in NSW for diverse client groups.
Partnership - Heading Home Ending Homelessness Here! between Lead agency – Wentworth Community Housing Main Partners - Platform Youth Services, Mission Australia (Nepean), Mercy Foundation (Registry Week component only), Stanton and Taylor Realty, Theo Poulos Realty, Jeff Donley Realty, Penrith, Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury City Councils
This partnership between three specialist services delivers exceptional support for women impacted by mental ill-health, for women involved with the criminal justice system and for women recovering from substance dependency. Too often women with multiple and complex needs fall through the gaps in the service landscape, and as a consequence, often also end up being ‘managed’ in institutional and criminal justice system settings. This partnership was established to catch women at risk of falling into those gaps, and supported them into the community.
Partnership - Northern NSW SHS Alliance between OTCP (On Track)/Third Sector Australia, Jali Local Aboriginal Land Council, Northern Rivers Community Gateway, Women Up North, Casino Boolangle Local Aboriginal Land Council, Gurehlgam Corporation and Clarence River Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Services
